A few years ago, my friend wrote a book about personal branding.
It’s all about the way we show up in the world — both personally and professionally. A guide for those who don’t yet know how to be publicly visible. But what stayed with me the most was the idea of having the courage to be seen. What does that really mean?
It means showing your real thoughts. Your feelings. Your plans. Your unique way of seeing the world. It means showing your true self. And it can happen in many ways:
- through writing a blog
- through wearing clothes you genuinely love
- through spending time with people you deeply value
- through living for yourself, not for others
- through showing your flaws and your imperfect self
- through saying your dreams out loud
Which of these have we been hiding… or forgetting? The more we express who we truly are, the more aligned people, opportunities, situations, and relationships enter our lives.
After a few bad experiences, we learn that being seen often feels like being vulnerable. We learn to meet society’s expectations. To look like everyone else on social media. To post the same type of photos. We learn to fear that if we stand out, we lose value. And in that process, we lose our own voice. But it’s still there.✨ People are afraid to be themselves because they think it requires perfection.
But perfection doesn’t exist. 🥷
Every person has a different idea of what “perfect” means — so you will never be perfect for everyone. You can only be “perfect” in your own eyes… which simply means being yourself.
So today, I challenge you!
🚀 accept the compliment
🚀 own your energy
🚀 post that photo
🚀 send that message to your crush
🚀 ask for a raise
Are you daring to be yourself? Are you giving yourself the chance to be seen? Tell me more in the comments — I read everything!
Love, 💖
