No one ever really leaves.
Do you realize that every person we’ve ever met has become a part of us? They’ve shaped the way we think, the things we do, the habits we carry.
And yet, when we miss someone from our past, we can bring them back—by weaving them into our present reality. In that way, they never truly leave us. ✨
🍿I make my oatmeal the way my former best friend once made it for me for dinner.
🍿 When I go work out, I play the playlist from the park near my university—it reminds me of freedom, beautiful school days, and youth.
🍿 I eat sushi because a friend—who I’m no longer that close with—introduced me to it for the first time.
🍿 There are movies I love watching simply because they remind me of people I love.
🍿 I drink my coffee without milk because someone who loves Italy used to drink it that way too.
🍿 I use a special word that only one person used, just so I can feel like they’re still here with me.
Other people have become a part of us. You don’t get to choose it. They stay anyway. And new people can become part of our lives at any moment. 🚀
Do you think you are that kind of person for someone else? (Hint: yes.) What part of you is someone out there still living by?
Your contagious laughter, your modern style, your unique hobbies, your way of seeing the world, your love for life, the way you can talk your way through anything… We are a mosaic of everyone we’ve ever loved.
Tell me your opinion in the comments. I read everything!
Love,
Zuzka 💚
P.S. : I still overcook my spaghetti—just to remember what it felt like when we cooked together and the eggs exploded onto the ceiling.
